Do not rely on one universal formula. ICP publishes AED 50 per day for expiry-related violations, while Dubai/GDRFA guidance may use a different schedule and additional exit or service charges. The issuing authority, visa category and case status determine the amount shown in the official system.

How to Avoid UAE Overstay
- Set a phone reminder 7 days before your visa expiry date
- Apply for a visa extension before your current visa expires , not after
- If you need more time in UAE, apply for a 30-day extension at any typing centre
- Use the visa tracking tool to monitor your current visa status
- Choose a multiple-entry visa if you plan to exit and re-enter , single-entry visas are consumed on first exit
evisa-uae.org is not an overstay resolution service. We do not pay fines or negotiate with UAE Immigration on your behalf. What we do is help you get the right visa the first time, with enough days to cover your actual trip. A 30-day visa when you are staying 35 days is how overstay fines start. If your trip length is uncertain, apply for a longer stay or a multiple entry visa. That conversation starts at the application stage, not after you have already accumulated AED 500 in fines.

The official amount depends on the issuing authority and visa category. ICP publishes AED 50 per day for expiry-related violations, while other authority schedules and additional charges may apply. Confirm the payable amount through the official system.
There is no single grace-period rule for every UAE visa. Confirm the permitted stay and overstay treatment with the issuing authority before relying on an estimate.
Visit smartservices.icp.gov.ae, click 'Fines Inquiry', enter your passport number and nationality. For Dubai-issued visas, use amer.gdrfadubai.gov.ae instead. Your outstanding fine balance will be displayed immediately.
Additional consequences depend on the visa, authority and individual case. Ask the relevant authority for the current position rather than relying on a general ban timeline.
UAE overstay fines can be paid online at smartservices.icp.gov.ae using a credit or debit card, at any ICP service centre, at GDRFA offices in Dubai, or at authorised typing centres across the UAE. Fines must be cleared before you can exit the country.
